FORT LAUDERDALE - Publix Supermarkets, INC. is being sued after a woman slipped and fell on the premises.
According to the complaint, the Plaintiff was on the property on October 4, 2013 when she slipped and fell on a liquid substance. She alleges the Defendant was negligent in maintaining the premises in a safe manner and failing to warn the Plaintiff that a dangerous condition existed.
As a result of her fall, the Plaintiff suffered serious injuries including, but not limited to, mental and physical pain and suffering, inability to lead a normal life, aggravation of a pre-existing condition, and grief. Furthermore, the Plaintiff was forced to incur hospital bills.
Caralyne Skaggs demands judgment against the Defendant for damages in excess of $15,000, costs, and any other relief the Court may deem appropriate. Additionally, the Plaintiff is represented by Jordan M. Kirby, ESQ. of Rubenstein Law, P.A in Plantation.
