LAUDERDALE BY THE SEA - On November 10, 2016, the Plaintiff in a negligence action filed a complaint against Walgreen Co., alleging they were responsible for a slip and fall incident.
According to the complaint, on July 4, 2015, the Plaintiff was a customer shopping inside the store while exercising caution for his own safety. He was caused to slip and fall on a slippery substance that remained on the aisle floor. As a result, the Plaintiff was severely injured. The Plaintiff sustained injuries which were caused and/or aggravated by the accident. The damages described are either permanent or continuing in nature causing the Plaintiff to suffer such losses in the future.
The Plaintiff is alleging that the Defendant was negligent by failing to properly inspect and maintain floor conditions from any liquid substances along with failing to caution the Plaintiff of floor conditions.
The Plaintiffs demand judgment against the Defendant for damages in excess of $15,000, plus costs, and demands a trial by jury. Additionally, the Plaintiffs are represented by Thomas H. Leeder, ESQ. of Leeder Law Firm, P.A. in Plantation.
