DEERFIELD BEACH - Target corp is being sued for negligence after a man tripped and fell in a store location.
According to the complaint, the Plaintiff, John Nicotra, was shopping at Target when he tripped and fell on an object while coming out of the fitting room. The Plaintiff alleges the Defendant was negligent due to the fact that an employee walked to his fitting room to bring him a pair of pants to try on and should've seen and picked up the object on the floor so that the Plaintiff wouldn't get hurt.
As a result of his fall, the Plaintiff was forced to incur the expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, and lost the ability to earn wages due to pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, and mental anguish.
The Plaintiff demands judgment against the Defendant for damages in excess of $15,000, costs, and any other relief the Court may deem appropriate. Additionally, the Plaintiff is represented by Kevin B. Dennis, Esq. of Thomas & Pearl, P.A. in Coral Gables.
