CITY OF HALLANDALE - A Publix Supermarket in Hallandale is being sued for a slip and fall that occurred on September 20, 2015.
Sheila Nicolas was shopping on this day in the produce section when a vegetable bag that was left on the floor caused her to slip and fall.
According to the complaint, the dangerous condition (aka the bag) was left on the floor long enough that the employees of Publix should have known about it and removed it. She alleges that Publix was negligent in failing to exercise reasonable care with respect to the installation, maintenance, and/or repair of the floors.
As a result of the fall, Nicolas was injured and demands judgment against Publix in an amount greater than $15k plus costs to compensate for her pain and suffering, handicap, and medical expenses. Sheila Nicolas is represented by Eduardo E. Dieppa III, Esq. of Law Offices of Robert J. Fenstersheib, P.A in Hallandale Beach.
