CORAL SPRINGS - A mother of two minors from Broward County is suing a couple for two counts of negligence.

The Plaintiff, Wendy Colon, filed a complaint on September 5, 2016, in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court against William Barbaro and Andrea Barbaro alleging Andrea negligently operated a vehicle, causing it to collide with Wendy's vehicle in which her two minors were passengers.

According to the complaint, on March 25, 2016, the Defendant, Andrea, was operating a vehicle owned by William with consent and authorization. By recklessly disregarding the traffic that had the right of way, she failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck the vehicle operated by Wendy with the two minors, Enasia Colon and Emilio Colon, as passengers. Due to Andrea's negligence, Wendy suffered serious bodily injury including, but not limited to; pain and suffering, aggravation of a previously existing condition, and mental anguish. She will continue to suffer in the future. Along with Andrea, William is found vicariously liable for Andrea's negligence.

The Plaintiff requests a trial by jury of all issues and demands judgment against Andrea and William Barbaro for damages exceeding $15,000.00. She is represented by Paul L. Moore, Esq. of Paul L. Moore, P.A. in Pembroke Pines.
